Good Home Renovations plans to be the leader in Colorado Springs on creating new medium-density development throughout town. Medium-density development fosters vibrant communities by creating a balance between urban convenience and residential comfort. Duplexes, Fourplexes, Row Houses, and Townhomes are the “missing middle” for cities looking to develop over the coming years. This density level encourages a mix of housing, retail, and public spaces that promote walkability and social interaction. As people live closer together and have easier access to amenities like parks, shops, and restaurants, it naturally builds a stronger sense of community. Medium-density neighborhoods are also more sustainable, as they support efficient public transportation and reduce the environmental footprint of urban sprawl. This leads to diverse, lively environments where residents can engage more with each other and their surroundings, enhancing overall quality of life. To tackle this Good Home is looking at acquiring vacant land or beyond repair homes in areas around town in need of marginal increases in density.
Medium-density development helps improve housing affordability by allowing more efficient use of land and infrastructure, which reduces the per-unit cost of housing. This increased supply helps to alleviate housing shortages, which in turn keeps prices more stable and accessible. Additionally, medium-density neighborhoods often have lower utility and maintenance costs due to shared resources and smaller individual units.
